Arto Fanna is a multimedia performance artist exploring creatures driven by intuition and instinct. Psychedelic visuals, masks, walkable paintings and Sprechgesang serve as tools for navigating intuition in a world ruled by algorithmic logic.

Her paintings often become wearable spaces inhabited by creatures, sometimes for short durations, sometimes through long-duration performances. Her fascination with the German underground rave scene and FLUXUS movement  strongly influences her practice, particularly her interest in creating Happenings and interactive Situations as forms of collective experience in a world that increasingly feels isolating and contained.

Improvisation plays a central role in her performances, allowing her to create in the moment and respond to the energy of the crowd and the space. While playing with gestures, vocals, sounds and controtion she simultaneously is trying to break free of patterns* as well as reveiling them.

She is also co-founder of the international collective Heure Fatale, which began as a monthly art salon in Paris and has grown into a platform for creating Happenings around the world.
